The only thing more cheerfully optimistic than Pam Spremulli is her art. Most well known for her unique animal portraits and interpretations of every day images, Pam loves to take the familiar and make it the exceptional. “The mouse is my brush, the monitor my canvas” is how she describes her technique, “and not to forget a little dab of fun!”.
Her colorful, geometric work has won several awards including the winner of the official Chagrin Falls, Ohio Flag design and the design winner of the Chagrin Falls, Ohio Popcorn Art Days. She was also selected as a mural finalist for the Chagrin Valley Art Center.
Her first Children’s book, Letter Birds, (PublishingWorks 2010 )was honored the GOLD Mom’s Choice Award for Distinguished Illustrations. She has since had two more Children’s books published WOOF! (PublishingWorks,Inc. 2011 and The Panda Banda (2013).
Pam served on the Valley Art Center’s Board of Trustees for over 8 years. The Valley Art Center is a regional non-profit organization dedicated to presenting, promoting, and teaching the arts in Ohio’s Chagrin Valley. She is also a primary Art Teacher at University School in Shaker Heights, Ohio and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
With a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a minor in fine arts from Niagara University in New York, and a graphic design studies certificate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Pam has quickly made a name for herself. If she can make someone smile, she has done her job.
Pam resides in Chagrin Falls with her husband and two daughters.
